Cathleen “Cathy” Hoover, age 67, of Appleton, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at her home.
Cathy was born August 4, 1952, in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Charles and Mary Lou (Warren) Hoover. She graduated from L.P. Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac and attended University of Wisconsin. Later Cathy went on to receive her business degree from Bryant & Stratton College. In her early years, Cathy owned a family daycare and then became a daycare licensing specialist for the State of Wisconsin. She enjoyed Bible Study through New Hope Lutheran Church in Neenah. Cathy volunteered in schools, enjoyed crafts, dining out and rescuing and caring for animals. Family was everything to her and she loved planning trips to take them on. She poured all her energy into her children and grandchildren and loved them immensely.
Survivors include daughter, Jennifer Feldmann of Fond du Lac, WI; son, Nicholas (fiancé, Abby) Feldmann of Fond du Lac, WI; three grandchildren, Camden, Jackson and Spencer; two brothers, Richard (Linda) Hoover of Las Vegas, NV and Roger Hoover of Door County, WI and the father of her children, Brooks (Barbara) Feldmann of Fond du Lac, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Lou Hoover and daughter, Katherine “Katie” Feldmann.
Visitation for Cathy will be held from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at St. Paul's Cathedral, 51 W. Division St., Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
A memorial service for Cathy will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 12, 2021 also at St. Paul's Cathedral, with Reverend Patrick Perkins officiating. A memorial is being established in her name. Inurnment will take place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral.
