Charleen Borchert, age 85, a lifelong resident of Ripon recently moved to Fond du Lac, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at her home.
Charleen was born on June 10, 1921, in Ripon, the daughter of Emil and Leona (Pollesch) Krueger. She graduated from Ripon High School. On January 22, 1944 she married Victor Borchert in Ripon. Charleen worked as a child care provider and was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ.
Survivors include son, David (Dixie) Borchert; daughter, Julie (Chuck) Post; granddaughters, Angie Borchert (special friend David Westemeier), Vanessa Post all of Fond du Lac and Melissa (Brian) Pizon of Oshkosh; great-grandchildren, Cora and Sarah Pizon; sister, Lorraine Bilderback and sister-in-law, Esther Krueger both of Ripon and many nieces and nephews. Charleen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Victor, infant daughter, Barbara, brother, Fritz and brother-in-law, Emmons Bilderback.
Visitation for Charleen Borchert will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon.
Funeral Service for Charleen Borchert will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Gerald Schrankler officiating. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
