Charles F. Daehn, age 83, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, August 2, 1954, at his home.
Charles was born October 31, 1870, in Mecklenburg, Germany, the son of Fred and Marie (Warnke) Daehn. He married Lizzie Wasmund on November 16, 1898 in Rosendale. Charles lived in Eldorado and then spent his last 52 years in the Town of Rosendale. He retired as a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Lizzie; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Zuege of the Town of Rosendale and Mrs. Carl Teetz of the Town of Eldorado; two sons, Lorenz of Waupun and Arno of Fond du Lac; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and one brother, Henry Daehn of the Town of Rosendale. He was preceded in death by three sisters.
Friends may call on Tuesday, August 3, 1954, after 6:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Charles will be held on Thursday, August 5, 1954, at 2:00 pm at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale with The Reverend Phillip Metzler officiating. Interment will take place at the Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale.
