Charles (Charlie) Adolph Denbrook, 72, formerly of Ripon and currently of Orlando, FL, died unexpectedly February 3, 1999, at Winter Park, FL.
He was born August 2, 1926, in Ripon, a son to Adolph and Minnie Denbrook. He was a graduate of Ripon High School, and a World War U army veteran. On January 17, 1948, he married Phyllis Mae Atkins at the 1st Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Charlie was an independent salesman, and a 34-year member of the Ripon Voluntary Fire Dept, member of the Ripon Lions Club, and was an avid baseball player and golfer.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Mae; 2 sons, Lynn (Jean Towne) Den brook of Orlando, FL and Dell (Chris Wahoske) Denbrook of Ripon; 1 daughter, Darlene (Al) Marohn of Pickett; 4 grandchildren, Alan & Jared Denbrook, and Craig & Chad Beck. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Virginia Haima.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 14, 1999, at 7 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with the Rev. Gregory C. Decker of Countryside Christian Church, Fisk officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
