Charles Pionke

Charles J. Pionke, age 76, of Rosendale, WI, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 6, 2016.

Chuck was born on February 4, 1940, in Ripon, WI, son of John and Mildred (Hilsberg) Pionke. He graduated from Ripon High School and in 1969 married Rosemary Feyen. Chuck loved farming, had a passion for woodworking, and enjoyed helping people. He especially enjoyed volunteering at the Eldorado Community Picnic.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Rosemary; children, Sarah Winkel of Oshkosh, Michael (Lisa) Pionke of Eldorado, and Joseph (Meri) Pionke of Pickett; grandchildren, Faith, Jeff, Courtney, Jonathan, Craig, Alyssa, Ryan (Pam), Cheryl (James), Aaron, and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Leo; sisters, Mary Jean Florek of Marquette, Charlotte Yearwood of Oshkosh, Ethel Zimmerman of Missouri, Pat (Al) Richter of Florida, Judy Wyant of North Fond du Lac, and Diane (Rick) Berndt of Pickett; brothers, Dennis (Jean) Pionke of Portage, Darwin (Linda) Pionke of Weyauwega, and John (Phyllis) Pionke of Rosendale, nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and Kenneth Pionke.

A visitation for Chuck will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI, and again Saturday at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 Blossom Street, Ripon, WI, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

A Memorial Mass for Chuck will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, with Full Military Honors to follow. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Chuck’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Eden Meadows and Rehabilitation, and also Generation Home Care and Hospice, for their loving care of Chuck. A memorial is being established in his name.
