Charles Shikoski

March 17, 1904 — January 2, 1987

Charles J. Shikoski, age 82, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on January 2, 1987, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.

Charles was born March 17, 1904, in the Town of Brooklyn, WI, the son of Fred and Mary (Dugenske) Shikoski. He was educated in Princeton and Green Lake. He served our country in the United States Army Medical Corps in WWII. On May 20, 1944, Charles married Harriet Grant in Almond, WI. He worked as a carpenter and a farmer. Charles was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake and an active bowler in the Green Lake area.

Survivors include his wife, Harriet; four sons, Robert of Green Lake, Richard of Greenville, WI, William of Milwaukee and David of Fond du Lac; six daughters, Virginia Shikoski of South Bend, Indiana, Frances (Robert) Born of Oshkosh, Anna (Lloyd) McAllister of Green Bay, Alice (Joseph) Kowalski of Fond du Lac, Carol (Alan) Lawrence of West Bend and Barbara Shikoski of Green Lake; 26 grandchildren; one brother, John of Princeton; five sisters, Mary Abraham of Ripon, Agnes Phillips of Beaver Dam, Anna Shikoski of Chicago, Eleanor Lauber of Oak Park, IL and Dorothy McCarthy of Cape Coral, FL.

Visitation for Charles will be held Sunday, January 4, 1987, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Service for Charles will be held Monday, January 5, 1987, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake with Reverend Leo Joyce officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.
