Charlotte Mae Marshall, age 73, of Rosendale, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon with her family by her side.
Charlotte was born February 16, 1939, in Truesdale, IA, the daughter of Wilbur and Neva (Weller) Widman. She graduated from Minnesota Lake High School and furthered her education at the University of Minnesota. In 1969, Charlotte married Bernie Marshall. She was a homemaker for years and her family was her passion. All who knew her called her Char or Ma as she welcomed family and friends into their home. Cooking was also a big part of her life as she owned her own restaurant in Brandon, WI. She was known for her hash brown omelets, her pies and was famous for her potato salad, often making big batches of it and taking it to the carnival. Charlotte enjoyed her work on the farm as well as running the Pick-a-Duck at the familys Carnival business. She was a lover of the outdoors, growing vegetables and flowers in her gardens and canning the produce she gathered from them.
Survivors include her husband, Bernie Marshall of West Rosendale, WI; her children, Ron Beck of Brandon, WI, Chuck (Tammy) Beck of Brandon, WI, Charlene (Josh Kohnke) Marshall of Great Falls, MT; 4 grandchildren, Cami, Casi, Tarrin, and Andrew Beck; sister, Karen Widman of Wells, MN; brother, George (Deb) Widman of Wells, MN; sister-in-law, Linda Widman of South Dakota and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Roger Widman.
Visitation for Charlotte Marshall will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012, from 10-12 pm, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI, 54971.
Memorial Service for Charlotte Marshall will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at 12:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Donald Deike will officiate. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
