Charlotte Coolidge Royce, age 84, of Ripon and Green Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 1985, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Charlotte was born in Lead, South Dakota on May 31, 1901, the daughter of Albert and Grace (Herlihy) Coolidge. On March 14, 1922, she married Wilfed Alexis Royce also of Lead, SD in Colon Panama. Before moving to Ripon in 1940, they resided successively in Crego de Arvila, Cuba, Guatemala City, Guatemala, McCook, Nebraska, Santa Marta, Colombia, Mexico City, Mexico and Ridgwood, New Jersey. Charlotte was a member of the Ripon Study Club, St. Peters Church and had hundreds of hours of volunteer work in the Red Cross to her credit.
Survivors include her two sons, Wilfred Alexis Royce, Jr. of San Antonio, TX and Robert Coolidge Royce of Ripon, WI; one daughter, Elizabeth Grace of Denver; three grandsons, two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Visitation for Charlotte will be held on Monday, July 8, 1985, from 4 6:00 pm at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Charlotte will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 1985, at 11:00 am at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Ripon with Reverend Robert J.C. Brown and Mr. William Barnhart officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
