Chris Hauman

Chris J Hauman age 83 died unexpectedly at Parkview Nursing Home on March 1, 1998, in Ripon.

He was born November 10, 1914, in Berlin, WI, a son to Henry and Catherine (Schneider) Hauman. On June 26, 1937, he married Agnes Nigbor and they made their home in Berlin where they resided for 57 years prior to moving to Ripon. He was employed as a tool and die maker at Berlin Chapman/McQuay Perfex Co. until he retired in 1982. Chris was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, the choir in Berlin and the Saint Patrick Catholic Church Holy Name Society in Ripon. He was active in the community being a boy scout master, explorer leader and enjoyed outdoor activities especially camping, fishing and hunting. After his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and their special activities. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

He is survived by two sons; James (Victoria) Hau man of Oshkosh;
Lawrence (Janice) Hauman of Ripon; one daughter Susan (Jerald) Raasch of
Oshkosh. Chris leaves behind eight grandchildren: Jeffrey (Susie) Hauman of
DeKaib, IL, Michael (Kim) Hauman of Milwaukee, Jason Hauman of Berlin,
Angela Chacon, Patricia Hauman, Cassandra, Cullen and Justin Raasch all of
Oshkosh, and 2 great grandchildren, Tori and Alex. He was preceded in death
by his wife of 59 years Agnes, his parents, two brothers; John and Peter
Hauman and one sister Ethel Erickson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday, March 4, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon with Father John A. Schmitz officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday March 3, 1998, from 4 until 7 PM at the funeral home with a rosary being offered at 6:30 PM and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin in the spring. A memorial has been established.
