Christian Grahn

Christian Martin Grahn, age 79, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on November 27, 1986, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.

Christian was born November 16, 1907, in the Town of Shields, Marquette County, WI, the son of Gustav and Adeline (Martin) Grahn. He was educated in Montello. On March 22, 1930, Christian married Jessie Booher in Winona, MN. He worked in maintenance at Ripon Knitting for 30 years and seven years for Green Giant. Christian was a member of The Federated Church of Green Lake and a past member of the Board of Stewards. He was also a member of the Bluffton Cemetery Board.

Survivors include his wife, Jesse; four sons, Reuben of Ripon; Aubrey “Speed” of Dubuque, IL, Wayne of Ripon and Larry of Green Lake; three daughters, Darlene (Robert) Pick of Berlin, Christine Grahn at home and Cheryl (Dean) Berglund of Wild Rose; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one sister, Arvilla Schroeder of Chattanooga, TN. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Visitation for Christian will be held on Sunday, November 30, 1986, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

Funeral Service for Christian will be held on Monday, December 1, 1986, at 1:00 pm at The Federated Church of Green Lake with Reverend Dwight Bastian officiating. Interment will follow at Bluffton Cemetery in the Town of Brooklyn. A memorial has been established.
