Christine F. Graydon-Thiel, 64, of Ripon, died Wednesday morning, September 19, 2001 at the Markesan Resident Home in Markesan.
She was born July 30, 1937, in Wautoma, a daughter to Arnold and Frances (Muske) Standke. She received her education in Wautoma. In 1988, she married David N. Thiel in Las Vegas, and has made her home in Ripon where she was a housewife. She was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ, was a volunteer at Ripon Medical Center, and at one time was on the Fairwater Village Board. She liked knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband, Dave Thiel of Ripon; first husband, Donald Graydon of Wild Rose; sons, Roger Graydon of Fairwater, Bill (Maria Salem) Graydon of Ripon, Robert (Denise) Graydon of Oakfield, and Mark (Mayuko) Graydon of HI; and daughters, Donna (James) Hull of Brandon, Susan (Gordie) Crump of Ripon. She is further survived by stepchildren, Richard (Barb) Thiel of Princeton, Debra (Keith) Trapp of Pickett, and Dawn (Jim) Weber of Montello; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; 6 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Lorraine Kiersten of Ripon, Shirley Wagner of Berlin, and Maxine Assaff of Eldorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Emily, and brother, Dennis.
Funeral service for Christine F. Graydon-Thiel will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2001 at Our Saviours United Church of Christ with Reverend Rebecca A. Johnston officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, and again on Saturday 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Memorial gifts may be made to Our Saviours UCC in her name.
