Clara R. Cotter, age 75, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 1984 at her home.
Clara was born on October 13, 1909 in Ripon, the daughter of Roman and Victoria (Prallat) Sina. She was educated in Ripon and spent most of her life in the Ripon area. On October 10, 1933 she married Howard Cotter, and he passed away on May 7, 1965. She was a seamstress at Advertisers and Knitting Works. Clara was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and also of the Altar Society.
Clara is survived by six sons, Dr. Robert Cotter of Ripon, WI, James Cotter of Belvidere, IL, Thomas Cotter of Ripon, Donald Cotter of Lansing, MI, William Cotter of Arlington, TX, Dr. Patrick Cotter of NY; three daughters, Elizabeth (Darrell) Winchell of Marquette, WI, Mary Cotter of Ripon, WI, and Cis (Mark) Holzhauer of Wauwatosa, WI; 29 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Ed Sina, Paul Sina, and Roy Sina all of Ripon, WI, Norbert Sina of Pickett, and Heinie Sina also of Ripon, WI; two sisters, Margaret Kasuboski and Florence Smoody both of Ripon, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Cotter; one brother and one granddaughter.
Visitation for Clara will be held from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, November 15, 1984 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, WI. A Rosary will take place at 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services for Clara will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 16, 1984 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon, with Reverend William Toelle officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Town of Ripon, WI. A memorial has been established in her name.
