Clara Grasse, age 71, of Ripon, WI passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 1955 at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
Clara was born in Ripon on February 19, 1884, the daughter of Gustave and Ida (Baeck) Kemnitz. She was educated in Ripon and has lived there for the past 31 years. She married William F. Grasse and they moved to Oshkosh, WI, then Milwaukee, WI and back to Ripon.
Clara is survived by two sons, Harvey Grasse of Ripon, WI and Harold Kemnitz of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Kemnitz and Herman Kemnitz both of Ripon, WI; and two sisters, Martha Schroeder of Madison, WI and Mrs. Arnold Ferch of Ripon, WI. She was preceded in death by three brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation for Clara will be held from 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 1955 until 11:00 am on Friday, February 25, 1955 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Clara will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 23, 1955 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Reverend E.E. Schieler officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
