Clara Ladwig

Clara S. Ladwig, 93 years old, of Green Lake died at Martha’s Retirement Home of Princeton on August 1, 1995.

Clara was born March 25, 1902, in the Town of Brooklyn, Green Lake County, daughter of Edward E. Kohnke and Henrietta Warmbier Kohnke. She married Gordon J. Ladwig on June 18, 1923. They lived in the Milwaukee area and Richfield, WI, until June 1935, when they moved to Green Lake. Clara worked five and a half years for Northwest Telephone Company, in Ripon, but spent most of her life as a homemaker. Clara was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church, Green Lake and their Ladies Aid.

Clara is survived by two sons, Roger (Marion) Ladwig and Gene Ladwig, both of Green Lake, six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 9, 1966 and one grandson, Loren Ladwig on November 5, 1965, along with seven brothers and three sisters.

Time of funeral service will be 11 am August 4, 1995, at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake with viewing from 10 am until time of service at 11 am. Reverend Rodney Dietsche will officiate. Interment will be in Bluffton Cemetery in the Town of Brooklyn. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Peace Lutheran Church.
