Clara Lange

Clara Margaret Lange fell asleep in Jesus on May 4, 2001 in Naples, FL.

Born in Oshkosh, WI on Sept. 22, 1907, to Christoph and Erna (Pockrandt) Witt. She was the beloved wife of the late Byron F. Lange whom she married on Oct 10, 1929 in White Lake, SD.

Clara was the loving mother of Judith (John) Avery of Green Lake, WI, Sandra (Jack) Tills of Portage, WI and Bonnie (Brian) Heidel of Naples, FL. She was cherished by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Meta Splon of Chandler, AZ, and many nieces and nephews.

Proceeded to eternal life by her husband, parents, two sisters and four brothers.

Clara was raised in Oshkosh and Montello. She lived in Milwaukee forty years before moving to the Montello-Green Lake area. Throughout her life she was a wonderful baker, remembered especially for her pies and stollens which she made for family and friends. She also crocheted 60 beautiful afghans which she gave to her loved ones. Clara was devoted to the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. She was an active member of the Ladies Guild and Mission League, serving the Lord.

We invite you to join us in the celebration of her new life. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 10, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church on Mayparty Drive in Ripon, WI. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the church with Reverend Bryan Fritsch officiating.

Burial will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. A memorial to Messiah Lutheran Church has been established.
