Clara E. Sunderland, 81, Green Lake, died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, at Juliette Manor Nursing Home in Berlin.
She was born May 4, 1916, in Winnebago Co., the daughter of Fred and Tillie (Weiss) Wesner. She lived in the Green Lake area and attended Green Lake schools prior to moving to Chicago where she received her nurses training to become a registered nurse. She then lived in California from 1943-45, returning back to Chicago in 1945. Clara married Willis F. Sunderland in 1945, and they lived in California until moving to Green Lake in 1970. She was a Jehovah’s Witness. Clara loved to garden.
She is survived by her son, Fred (Tina) Sunderland of Magalia, CA; two grandchildren; one sister, Lily Meyerholtz of Fremont; and three brothers, Herbert Wesner of Ripon, Arnold Wesner of Oshkosh and Reinhold Wesner of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters and five brothers.
At the wishes of the family, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place.
