Clarence W. Carstensen, age 59, of Ripon, WI passed away on Saturday, March 5, 1955 at his home in the Town of Green Lake, WI.

Clarence was born in Chicago, IL on October 1, 1895, the son of Emil and Elizabeth (Wrasse) Carstensen. He was a farmer and has lived in Chicago, IL, Fox Lake, WI and the Ripon area for 35 years. On June 23, 1933 he married Emily Parks in Appleton, WI.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Emily Carstensen of Ripon, WI; five daughters, Ruth Ann, Marlyn, and Muriel at home, Mrs. Alton Pierce of Markesan, and Mrs. Wilbert Schmick of Glen View, IL; a son, Richard of the Town of Green Lake, WI; three grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert Carstensen of Milwaukee, WI and Alfred Carstensen of Fremont; and a sister, Mrs. Jack Wedemeyer of Milwaukee, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Elizabeth Carstensen; and a sister.

Visitation for Clarence will be held from 12:00 pm on Monday, March 7, 1955 until 11:00 am Tuesday, March 8, 1955 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 8, 1955 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon.

Funeral service for Clarence will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 8, 1955 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Reverend E.E. Schieler officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett, WI.
