Clarence Morgan

Clarence W. Morgan, 85, of Ripon, died Friday, March 19, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh.

He was born August 16, 1913, in Yuba, WI, a son to John and Nettie Caldonia (Abel) Morgan. He graduated from Poynette High School. He then served a tour of duty in France and Belgium in the US Army during WWII from 1943-46. On April 6, 1942, he married Geraldine F. Price in Portage, and they moved to Ripon in 1946. Clarence had been a factory worker at Speed Queen for 30 years. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #5278 in Ripon, and was a past member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Morgan of Ripon; daughter, Velva (David) Zeatlow of Ripon; son, Calvin (Debra) Morgan of Clarksville, TN; 3 granddaughters & 1 grandson; and 3 great-granddaughters and 4 great-grandsons. He is further survived by 2 sisters, Lucille Ebert of Poynette and Leora Thom ison of Wyocenna; and 1 brother, Clifford Morgan of Portage. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be Saturday, March 27, 1999, at 2 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. The Rev. Paul Shropa of MN, a member of Rolling Thunder® KY 1 will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, March 26 from 4 until 8 PM, with a VFW Service at 8 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. Visitation will again be on Saturday from 1 until 2 PM at the funeral home, prior to graveside services. Pallbearers will be family, a members of Rolling Thunder® KY 1 and friends.
