Clarence Zimmerman

July 24, 1911 — April 28, 1985

Clarence “Zimmy” H. Zimmerman, age 73, of Ripon, WI, passed away on April 28, 1985, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.

Clarence was born July 24, 1911, in Ripon, WI, the son of Fred and Anna (Wahoske) Zimmerman. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII. Clarence married Elda Lange on September 11, 1937. He worked as a printer at Ripon Advertisers Manufacturing Company. Clarence was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, on the church council, past 1st ward alderman of the City of Ripon, a Boy Scout Leader and a V.F.W. Chaplain and past Commander.

Survivors include his wife, Elda; one son, Michael of Newport Beach, CA and two sisters, Mildred Wahoske of Ripon, WI and Marion (Robert) Vincenti of Logan, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lewis Zimmerman.

Visitation for Clarence will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 1985, from 3 – 9:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with a VFW Service at 8:00 pm.

Funeral Service for Clarence will be held on Thursday, May 2, 1985, at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ with Reverend James Mohr officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established for the church.
