Clifford Gilbert

Clifford H. Gilbert, age 82, died Friday, January 16, 1998, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
He was born June 10, 1916, in Walworth County, a son of William and Annie (Hague) Gilbert. He graduated from Elkhorn High School, and in 1940, he enlisted in the Air Force. Clifford made a career in the Air Force and retired in 1964, as a Master Sgt. He then made his home in Ripon where he worked in the warehouse at Ripon Foods. He was married to the former Viola Koentopp and she passed away in 1989.
He is survived by one daughter, Betty Liefke of Ripon; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, James Gilbert of Baltimore, MD, Leslie Gilbert of Willis, TX, and Glen Gilbert of Park Forest, IL; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Viola; and son, Richard.
Funeral service will be Sunday, January 18, 1998, at 6:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Reverend James D. Mohr officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon.
