Corinne Adele Spinks, age 63, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 1992 at United Hospital of St. Paul, St. Paul, Minnesota.
She was born August 24, 1928, in East Chicago, Indiana, the daughter of Edward and Elvina (Lindell) Allen. After college at Augustana in Rock Island, she obtained her Masters at Indiana University. For many years she served as a public school teacher in Mt. Prospect, IL. After retirement, she and her husband Robert, whom she married on August 26, 1950, moved to Green Lake. They have resided there since 1987. An active community member she belonged to the Dartford Ladies Society, Athena Club, was past President of the Green Lake Senior Citizens, was a volunteer Library Assistant at the Caestecker and Green Lake School Libraries, she was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and its Ladies Guild, and was an active golfer at Mascoutin as well as being a tennis player.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; one daughter, Kim (Michael) Mandele of Batavia, IL; two grandchildren; two sisters, Greta Eckert of Slinger, WI and Karla Freeman of Duluth, MN. She was preceded in death by one son, Guy.
Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 1992 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake. The Reverend Robert Pless of Princeton will officiate. Committal services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 1992 at Wheeling Township Cemetery in Arlington Heights, IL. A memorial has been established for the Caestecker Public Library.
