Corrine Mabbott

Corrine E. Mabbot, age 75, formerly of Markesan, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 18, 2001, at Michalene’s in Ripon where she had lived the past 2-1/2 years.

She was born on December 18, 1926, in Superior, WI, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Eck) Broton. Corrine attended Superior Central High School and Duluth Business College. She had been a secretary at Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co. in Milwaukee for 25 years. On March 1, 1947, she married Lyle Mabbot in Superior, WI. She had lived in Greenfield until her retirement in 1980, when she moved to the Town of Green Lake. Mrs. Mabbott was a member of Terrace Shores Evangelical Free Church, Green Lake.

Survivors include her husband, Lyle Mabbott of Markesan; 2 sons, Tom of Green Lake and Dick (Betty) of Durham, NC; 5 grandchildren, Rachel (Andy), Eric (Lisa), Joe, Mandy and Jason; 1 great-granddaughter, Ava; and 1 brother, Edward Broton of Ladysmith, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Junie and Eleanor; and 2 brothers, Emmett and Lawrence.

Funeral service for Mrs. Corrine Mabbott will be Friday, December 21, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Terrace Shores Evangelical Church with Rev. Gary Zacharias officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9-11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Green Lake Center Cemetery, Town of Green Lake. Memorials to Terrace Shores Evengelical Free Church.
