Crystal Kathaleen Mathias, age 89, of 150 N. Douglas St. Ripon, passed away on October 1, 2006 at her home, with her family at her side.
Kathaleen was born on May 27, 1917 in Polo, IL the daughter of John Rolph and Lena (Reynolds) Myers. She graduated from Polo, IL High School. On April 16, 1939 she married Everett Claire Mathias at the Polo Lutheran Church. They made their home in Ripon, WI. Kathaleen was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church of Ripon, she loved music and enjoyed playing her violin. Kathaleen worked at the Ripon High School as a cook for 13 years.
Survivors include her husband Claire Mathias of Ripon, and their five children, Lawrence Lee (Paula) Mathias of Lake Havasu, AZ, Lynn Alan (Terry) Mathias of Ripon, Louise Ann (Dennis) Belk of Madison, Lyle Gene (Julie) Mathias of Ripon, and Loren John (Vicki) Mathias of Palmdale, CA; 9 granddaughters, 2 grandsons and 5 great-grandsons. Kathaleen was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Aaron Mathias, one niece, Marcia Grant, and one sister, Pauline Grant.
Visitation for Crystal Kathaleen Mathias will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2006 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 401 W. Fond du Lac St. Ripon.
Memorial Service for Crystal Kathaleen Mathias will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Nulton officiating. Inurnment will take place on a later date. A memorial has been established.
