Crystal Lee McConnell, age 80, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Berlin Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side.
Crystal was born May 5, 1933, in Berlin, the daughter of Bruno and Minnie (Sass) Fahrenkampf. On August 18, 1951 she married Jon A. McConnell Sr.; they made their home in the Green Lake area. She was an animal lover, devoted reader, a fabulous cook and baker, and was cherished by all who met her. She was a member of the Federated Church of Green Lake, and she was a very active member of the Fellowship Committee.
Crystal is survived by her sons, Jon, Gary (Dawn), and Jim (Sue); grandchildren, Cody, Amber, Jason, Justin, Shannon, Tracy, Devon, Zack, and Jordon; great-grandson, Caiden; one brother, Sonny (Edy). Crystal held a special place in her heart for Cathy, and she deeply appreciated the love and care she received from Diane, Nellie, Owen, Karen, Rose, Charlotte, and Doty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jon Sr.; her parents; sisters, Helen and Jerry; daughter- in- law, Gail; and one grandson, Keenan.
Visitation for Crystal will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013, from 3-6:00 pm, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Crystal Lee McConnell will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 6:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, immediately following the visitation. Reverend Karen Gygax-Rodriguez will officiate. Interment will follow at Bluffton Cemetery in the Town of Brooklyn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may sent to Caestecker Public Library, 518 Hill Street, Green Lake, WI 54941
