Cyril Seymer

Cyril Albert Seymer, age 78, Ripon, died Monday, December 6, 1999, at Parkview Care Center.

He was born January 22, 1921, in Fairwater, a son to Orlando and Edna (Stelter) Seymer. He attended Milwaukee Public Schools. He served in the 8th Airborne Air Force in 1945 during WWII. Cyril was a welder at Brenner Tank in Fond du Lac. He married Ann Cassidy, and she preceded him in death. He then married Ernestine “Tina” Hass Roberts on April 25, 1970. He was a member of Mt Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon and the Markesan American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Seymer of Ripon; 3 sons, Robert “Bob” (Kathy) Seymer of Friendship, Lawrence “Larry” (Carol) Roberts of Hartford and Wayne (Kathy) Roberts of Fond du Lac; 7 daughters, Mary Stolzman of Tucson, WI, Sheila (Randy) Engel of Brandon, Kristine (John) KahI of Markesan, Linda (James) Winkler of Ripon, Shirley (Tom) Koehn of Fond du Lac, Sue (DuWayne) Kapp of Fond du Lac and Judy (Jerry) Rogers of Tacoma, WA; 27 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his four brothers, Nelson Seymer of Markesan, Richard (Diane) Seymer of Milwaukee, Roger (Shirley) Seymer of Lamartine, Gerald (Marlene) Seymer of Manchester; and three sisters, Phyllis & Joyce Seymer of Milwaukee, and Sandra Seymer of Markesan. He was preceded in death by his parents, first spouse, Ann, and three brothers, Glen, Donald and Robert Seymer.

Funeral service will be Thursday, December 9, 1999, at 11 AM at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Mose officiating. Military graveside services will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Visitation will be at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4.7:30 PM, followed by a Markesan Legion Post service at 7:30 PM. Visitation will again be on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church.
