Dale A. Osheim, age 49, of Berlin, WI, died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 25, 1996, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
He was born December 12, 1947, in Wausau, a son to Orval G. and Wyiona (Timmens) Osheim. He was a graduate of Berlin High School. He served his country in the Army from 1968 69 in Vietnam, and was a past member of the Omro V.F.W. On July 12, 1974, he married the former Mary Jo Waters. Dale was lead person at Berlin Leather. Dale loved bowling, fishing, hunting, trapping his minnows, playing baseball and has received many baseball trophies.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo; three sons, Michael, Steve and Peter, all at home; his parents, Orval G. and Wyiona Osheim of Berlin; two brothers, Orval L. (Marilyn) Osheim and William (Barbara) Osheim both of Ripon; one sister, Joyce (Paul) Christensen of Cheyenne, WY; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother, Wayne.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 31, 1996, at 10:30 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Father John A. Schmitz officiating. Pallbearers will be Gary Lemcke, Mike Erickson, Mike Albashian, Harold Osheim, Ernie Osheim and Rick Yanna. Burial will be in Bluffton Cemetery in the Town of Brooklyn.
Visitation will be Monday, December 30, 1996, from 4 until 8 pm at the funeral home and again on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of the service. A memorial has been established in his name.
