Darlene A. Finley, age 81, of Ripon, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Ripon Medical Center with her family by her side.
Darlene was born on July 9, 1928, in Fonda, IA, the daughter of Lyman and Grace (Carver) Hunter. She graduated from Ladysmith High School and on December 11, 1948, Darlene married Richard Finley in Ladysmith, WI. She enjoyed reading, watching game shows and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include children, Cheryl Zills of Ripon, WI, Chuckie (Gary) Eichstedt of Ripon, WI, Richard Finley Jr. of Arizona, Zeke (Marikay) Finley of Ripon, WI, Trudy (Dennis) Howen of Fond du Lac, WI, Tracy (Ken) Knaack of Ripon, WI, Jason (Lori) Finley of Florida, Dennis (Pat) Finley of Ozark, AL, Kitty (Mark) Eichstedt of Alvin, TX, Kelly Jo Finley of Nashville, TN and Fritz (Mandie) Finley of Ripon, WI; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Finley of Ely, MN. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; one sister; one daughter, Vicky Finley; two granddaughters, Tiffany Eichstedt and Ronelle Eichstedt.
Visitation for Darlene Finley will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010, from 9 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Darlene Finley will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Mark R. West will officiate. Interment will follow at Nepeuskun Cemetery in the Town of Nepeuskun. A memorial is being established in Darlene’s name.
