Darwin W. Miller, 82, of Pickett, died Monday evening, August 9, 1999, at Ripon Medical Center.
He was born May 5, 1917, in Pickett, a son to Herman and Effie (Peterson) Miller. Darwin attended school in Pickett, and later served in the U.S. Army during WWII. On June 29, 1946, he married Adeline Van Loo Born in Pickett. Darwin was an iron worker for Griese & Ross of Oshkosh for 25 years, and was also a farmer. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Pickett.
Survivors include his wife, Adeline Miller of Pickett; children, Darwin Miller Jr. of Pickett, Connie (Dennis) Wahoske of Ripon, Bonnie Miller of Oshkosh, Loren (Nancy) Miller of Pickett, Deborah Miller and Barbara Miller, both of Ripon; 8 grandchildren, Marni Wahoske, Deanna (Paul) Clarke, Kelly (Eric) Mathes, Andrea (Kevin) Graham, Christopher Hoffman, Carey Lee, Colleen (Scott) Burdsall, and Elizabeth Miller; 5 great-grandchildren, Isaac Darnell, Tyler Mathes, Cody Graham, Ashley Hoffman, and Thomas Lee; and 1 sister, Beverly Stelimacher of Fond du Lac. His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 12, 1999, at 1 PM at
Grace Lutheran Church, Pickett with Pastor Russell W. Kloehn officiating. Interment will be Cemetery of Peace, Town of Rosendale. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 AM until the time of the service at the church. A memorial has been established.
