Darwin Ninneman

Darwin Ninneman, age 63, of Parkview Care Center in Ripon, WI, died on Saturday, October 30, 1999, at Ripon Medical Center.

Darwin was born March 12, 1936, in Fond du Lac County, the son of Frank and Ethel (Stellmacher) Ninneman. He attended Ripon High School and in 1956, married Marilyn Miller. He was employed at Speed Queen for 19 years, and in 1975, purchased Vogue Cleaners of Ripon. He sold the store in 1994. In 1992, he married Sharron A. Huss.

Darwin was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ripon, and served on the church council. He was also a member of Noon Kiwanis, and the Wisconsin Fabricare Institute, serving as past president. Darwin was an avid Packer fan, and loved going to the games with his cousin, Reuben Jahnke.

Survivors include his wife, Sharron (Huss) Ninneman, of Appleton; son, Brian (Kathy) Ninneman and their children, Brianne and Kurt, of Green Lake; daughters, Beth (Dave) Lind, and their children, Justin and Erin of Ripon; Dee (Rick) Schmidtke and children, Kelly and Brooke of Rosendale and Ellen (Robert) Bloom of Eau Claire; and step-daughter, Amy Jo (Michael) Christiansen and children, Lettie and Hans of Larsen.

He is further survived by a sister, Beatrice (Eugene) Warner of Campbellsport; sister, Gladys (Wilbert) Retzlaff of Crandon; sister, Joyce Ziesmer (late husband, Edward) of Ripon, sister, Fern Wagner (late husband, Willis) of Ripon; brother, Palmer Ninneman and special friend, Nancy Petrolli of Rosendale and sister, June (Bernard) Hall of Campbellsport. He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant sisters, and one infant brother.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 2, 1999, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon and Memorial Service at 11:00 am at the church with Reverend Paul Mose officiating. Inurnment will be at Loper Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. Memorials may be directed to the church in his name.
