David William Gillen, 47, of R#1, Ripon, died Tuesday, August 2, 1988, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 28, 1941, in Rosendale, to Harold and Irma (Petrich) Gillen. On January 12, 1963, he married Wilma Van Galen.
Mr. Gillen was educated in Rosendale. He lived in Rosendale and the last 26 years in Ripon. He was a maintenance electrician for Mercury-Marine in Fond du Lac. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon and was a past Elder of the church.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma; two sons, Jeffrey and Mark of Ripon; one daughter, Wanda Potratz of Omro; one brother, Darrold of Rosendale; three sisters, Vivian Brazelton of Billings, MT, Evelyn Strauler of Oshkosh and Nancy Haima of Cambria. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, August 5, 1988, at the Messiah Lutheran Church, Ripon. The Reverend William G. Fenker will officiate. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon.
