David Mann

David F. Mann, age 67, of Green Lake, passed away on August 4, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, WI.

David was born on July 16, 1942, in Ripon, the son of Frederick and Grace (Tollefson) Mann. He graduated from Ripon High School and then married Ruth Doty. David was in the United States Army and after, his occupation was in building material sales. He was also involved in the Knights of Columbus and was on the fire commission for Green Lake County. David was an avid sportsman with bow hunting being his passion. He also enjoyed fishing, dart ball, and high school wrestling. David was a Milwaukee Braves, Brewers, and a Green Packer Fan.

Survivors include his wife Ruth of Green Lake; three sons, Tony (Treva) Mann of Oshkosh, Fred Mann of Newburg, and Jeffrey (Kate) Mann of Oshkosh; three grandsons, Justin, Logan, and Cody; his father Fredrick Mann; three sisters, Linda (Norman) Graff, Iris (LeRoy) Miller, Janice (Louie) Nechkash; one brother, Lonnie (Jane) Mann; close personal friends, Gordy Smith and Tom Leinweber, and many other friends; also numerous nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his mother Grace and a sister, Shirley Bornick.

Visitation will be held for David Mann on Friday, August 7, 2009, from 4 – 7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Saturday, August 8, 2009, from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

Funeral Service will be held for David Mann on Saturday, August 8, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in his name.
