David Ryerson

David A. “Rye” Ryerson, age 56, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014, while deer hunting.

David was born January 12, 1958, in Ripon, the son of Eugene and Marie (Donnan) Ryerson. He graduated from Ripon High School and went on to further his education at UW-La Crosse. In 1985, David married Valerie Ott in Ripon. He retired from a career in the department of corrections. David was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the Berlin Conservation Club where he shot trap.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie Ryerson of Ripon, WI; two daughters, Kim (Benjamin) of Madison, WI and Kelsey (Cal) of Ripon, WI; one grandson, Beckett of Madison, WI; one brother, Tom (Lynn), three sisters, Donna (Dick), Mary (Dave) and Ann (Pete); parents-in-law, Edgar and Betty Ott; sisters-in-law, Mary (Ron), Cindy, Diane (Jerry) and Brenda and brothers-in-law, Jerry, Alan, Kevin (Debbie). David was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Marie and a niece, Sara.

Visitation for David will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, from 11- 2:00 pm at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral service for David will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Clay R. Salmela will officiate. Interment will follow at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established in his name.
