DeAnna Rae Krueger, 32, Ripon, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 25, 2004, at her home.

She was born May 24, 1971, in Ripon, the daughter of Gene L. and Betty J. (Davis) Davis. She was a graduate of Ripon High School, Class of 1989, and received a 2-Years Associate Degree in Correction Science from Moraine Park Technical College. She started her correction science career at Taycheedah Correctional Institute and then to Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department Jail Division. For the past 5 years she was a part of the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Department family. She had recently started at Fox Valley Technical College in law enforcement training for road patrol. DeAnna was a member of the Wisconsin Professional Police Department, Green Lake Area Drug Task Force, and The C.E.R.T. Team. She was active in R.A.P. and was vice-president of the local union. On August 20, 1993, she married Stacey Krueger at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon where she was a member.

Survivors include her husband, Stacey and 2 children, Brennan & Anastasia, all of Ripon; mother, Betty Davis of Ripon; 2 sisters, Wendy (Doug) Polcyn and Tammy (James) Thiem, all of Ripon; mother & father-in-law, DuWayne & Joyce Krueger of Ripon; brother/sister-in-laws, Sue (Robert) Meyer of Ripon, Steve (Dena) Krueger of Appleton, Sandy (Dennis) Moldenhauer of DeForest, Stuart (Kristy) Krueger of Ripon, and Shirley (Wes) Stibb of Green Lake; 6 nephews, Dan Polcyn, Adam Meyer, Isaac & Jacob Krueger, Devin Moldenhauer, and Colton Thiem; and 4 nieces, Kelly Moldenhauer, Shaylen Thiem, Grace Krueger, Emma Krueger; many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, Duane & Virginia Davis, and paternal grandmother, Noel Davis.

Funeral service for DeAnna Rae Krueger will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2004, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ with Rev. Mark R. West officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, and again on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established in her name.

DeAnna was a loving wife, beloved mother, who will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and co-working family.
