Debra Kay Pionke, age 51, of Rosendale, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Waupun Memorial Hospital as a result of a snowmobile accident.
Debra was born on March 16, 1956, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Carl and Adela (Dahn) Teetz. She graduated from Laconia High School in Rosendale in 1974. On September 28, 1974, Debra married her partner in life John Joseph Pionke, Jr. of Pickett. Debra was employed at the Merc Café of Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac. She was a member of Our Risen Savior Catholic Church in Eldorado. Debra loved life, and was always available to lend a cheerful smile to anyone she encountered. Her family, especially her grandchildren, meant the world to her. It is through them that her legacy and love of life shall continue.
Survivors include her husband, John Pionke; daughter, Julie (Steve) Rist (expecting in September) of Fond du Lac; sons, James (Lori) Pionke and their children Mariah, Ashley, and Autumn Pionke of Rosendale, and Paul (Renee) Pionke and their children Savannah Jo and Natalie Rose Pionke of Fond du Lac; sisters, Arlene (Dave) Roberts and Judy (Gerald) Laper both of Markesan; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Debra was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Myron, John, and Arlyn; and her sister, Betty Mae.
Visitation for Debra Kay Pionke will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, Hwy 23 and County Trunk Y, Eldorado, WI.
Mass of Christian Burial for Debra Kay Pionke will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at Our Risen Savior Catholic Church with Reverend John L. Simon officiating. Interment will follow in Rosendale Cemetery, Village of Rosendale. A memorial has been established.
