Delores A. Malzhan

Delores A. Malzhan (nee Zills), age 86, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015, at Maplecrest in Ripon with her daughters at her side.

Delores was born April 7, 1928, in Oakfield, WI, the daughter of Ernest and Mathilda (Kollman) Zills. She was a graduate of Oakfield High School and the Fond du Lac Business College. Delores married Marvin F. Malzhan in Ripon, on May 5, 1951, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ and has been a member ever since. She worked with Dr. Amthor in Waupun as a Dental Assistant and also with Libby McNeil and Libby Carnation Company where she met her husband. She participated in the family business driving semi-truck for many years. Later in life, she worked at the Green Lake County Courthouse. Delores was a refreshing face to all those who entered church as a Greeter and was a Sunday School Teacher for ten years. She was a member of the church Quilting Club as well as a member of the V.F.W. local chapter. Delores was an avid reader, master of hand quilting and crocheting, and shared her skills with many.

Survivors include her daughters, Carol (Allan) Seeliger of Ripon, WI, Joyce (Dr. Ronald) Campopiano of Milwaukee, WI, and Nancy (Randall) Knecht of Crystal Lake, IL; grandchildren, Scott (Jean) Seeliger, Crystal (Kenneth) Worley, Alison Knecht, Stacy (Tom) Pethke and Billi (Shawn) Kaufman; great grandchildren, Amanda and Brooke Seeliger, Kyle and Caleb Worley, Brianna Walter, Karson and Violet Kaufman; brother, Otto (Amber) Zills of Waupun, WI and a sister in-law, Marie Zills also of Waupun, WI. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Delores is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mathilda Zills; husband, Marvin F. Malzhan; her son, Roy Malzhan; sister, Ruth Batterman; brother, Archie Zills.

Visitation for Delores A. Malzhan will be held Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 3 – 6:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again Monday, March 2, 2015, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral Service for Delores A. Malzhan will be held Monday, March 2, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell will officiate. Interment will follow service at Dartford Cemetery in the City of Green Lake. Memorials may be donated to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971 and Maplecrest, 150 N Douglas Street, Ripon, WI 54971.
