Delores Bourland

Delores C. Bourland, age 73, was called to her eternal home on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, surrounded by the love of her family.
Delores was born June 26, 1939 in New Auburn, Wis., the daughter of Howard and Cecilia Rehm. On March 12, 1960, she married Clarence Bourland in Milwaukee, Wis. Delores attained her G.E.D. and daycare certification from Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac. She worked in various service-related positions and managed a small daycare in her home.
Delores enjoyed music, painting, flowers and cats. She dearly loved her children and her grandchildren, whom she referred to as “my M&Ms.” Delores treasured her godchildren and was known for her notes and postcards with sweet words of love and encouragement. Delores also dearly loved her Lord and Savior and depended on Him daily for her strength through years of illness.
Most of all, Delores was a loving mother and a loyal and caring friend. Delores had a beautiful smile and witty sense of humor. She had a generous kind spirit and a “nothing can keep me down” attitude. In her later years, Delores did not speak often but when she did her words were loving, gracious, and kind. Her sweet disposition will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children Dawn Bourland of Green Lake, Diane (Nate) Grahl of Fond du Lac, Dana (Ray) Knebel of Ripon, and Mark Bourland of North Fond du Lac; two grandchildren, Michael and Maria Grahl of Fond du Lac; sisters Mary (Jim) DeBack of Coloma, Wis., Doreen (Howard) Twombly of Round Lake Beach, Ill., and Betty (Dave) Kimpel of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; brothers George (Edie) Rehm of Oxford, Wis. and Kenny (Linda) Rehm of Appleton, Wis.; two godchildren, Renee Kimpel of Rolling Meadows, Ill. and Jason Rehm of Madison, Wis., and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Delores was preceded in death by the father of her children, Clarence Bourland; her parents; her brothers Lewie, Ricky and Rodney Rehm; and her sister Kathy Rehm.
Visitation for Delores Bourland will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Butzin Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon and again on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 from 10 a.m. until noon at Grace Reformed Church, 163 E. 18th St., Fond du Lac.
A memorial service for Delores Bourland will be held Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at noon at Grace Reformed Church, 163 E. 18th St., Fond du Lac. Pastor Barry Vegter will officiate. Inurnment will be at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon at 2:45 p.m.
