Delores Van Doren, age 78, 1130 North Margaret St, Markesan, WI, passed away Friday, May 12, 2006 at the Markesan Resident Home.
She was born December 26, 1927 in Harrisville, WI, a daughter to Walter and Alvina (Harke) Briese. Delores married Samuel Van Doren on June 7, 1947 in Ripon, WI. Delores was the Town Clerk for the Town of Mackford for 25 years.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Sandra (Wesley) James of Markesan, WI and Cheryl (Thomas) Maenner of Sun Prairie, WI; 1 foster son, Douglas Davis; 4 grandchildren Pamela James, Illinois, Angela (Jarrod) Duel of Fond du Lac, WI, John (Elizabeth) Maenner of Cottage Grove, WI, Joseph Maenner of Sun Prairie, WI; 4 great grandchildren, Sam & Rachel Maenner, Ella & Gavin Duel; 1 sister, Elaine (Harold) Zepp of Ripon; Sisters-in-law, Aleen Briese of Ripon and Beverly Henslin of Ripon and Betty Messerschmidt of Oshkosh; Brother-in-law Gerald (Irene) Van Doren of Alto; and her dog Kookie. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Sam, 2 brothers, Myron and Elroy Briese.
VISITATION: for Delores Van Doren will be held on Sunday May 14, 2006 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.
FUNERAL SERVICE: for Delores Van Doren will be held Monday May 15, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairwater, WI with Rev. Kevin Brown officiating. A Memorial has been established. Interment will take place in Mackford Union Prairie Cemetery, Town of Mackford.
