Dennis Grams

November 11, 1940 — July 20, 2001

Dennis Herbert Grams, age 60, of Fond du Lac, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, July 20, 2001, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.

The son of Herbert and Delila (Dunn) Grams, he was born November 11, 1940, in Ripon. Dennis graduated from Ripon High School, class of 1960, and served in the Air Force. He was employed by Mercury Marine for 30 years as a driver at their testing facility in Florida and as a machinist at Mercury Marine, Plant 4, Fond du Lac. Dennis was a Boy Scout Leader, a member of International Association of Machinists, Fraternal Order of Eagles #270 and The American Legion Post #75.

He is survived by his sister, Marial (Nick) Ludwig of Ripon, and brother, Peter (Brenda Jahns) Grams of Ripon; his nephews, Darrel and Jonathan Ludwig of Ripon and Michael Ludwig of Oshkosh; his uncle Alfred (Dorothy) Grams of Ripon; several cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Larry Lee Grams; grandparents; several uncles, aunts and cousins.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 24, 2001, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Mach Funeral Chapel, 31 E. Division St. Fond du Lac.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at Grace Lutheran Church, 430 Griswold St. Ripon, with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service. Reverend Jonathan Stansfield will officiate. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Dennis can be made to Hospice Hope, Fond du Lac or the American Cancer Society.
