Dennis Lee Pamenter, age 63, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away on August 22, 2014, at his home with his family by his side.
Dennis was born December 14, 1950, in Berlin, the son of Charles Eugene and Marjorie Mae (Smasal) Pamenter. He graduated from Green Lake High School. Dennis worked as a meat cutter and chef for a variety of businesses including Van Rays, Alfreds Supper Club and at Tuscumbia Country Club as a manager. He lived in Green Lake most of his life and moved to Ripon in 2000. Dennis then moved to Oshkosh when he was diagnosed with ALS. He was a life-long member of The Federated Church of Green Lake.
Survivors include his mother, Marjorie Pamenter of Ripon, WI; five children, Kelly (David) Miller of Oshkosh, WI, Heather Pamenter of Oshkosh, WI, Lissa (Brian) Dreyfus of Greenfield, WI; Rebecca (Jordan) Zahn of Pickett, WI and Aaron (Julie) Pamenter of Oshkosh, WI; eleven grandchildren, William Dreyfus of Greenfield, WI, Leonard Zahn of Pickett, WI, Alexandria and Evy Pamenter of Oshkosh, WI, Gianna Poniewaz of Milwaukee, WI, Jaycee Jezwinski of Oshkosh, WI, Andrew Dreyfus of Greenfield, WI, Adam Koelbl of Milwaukee, WI, Corrina Suess of Stevens Point, WI, Jennifer Miller of Green Bay, WI and Jessica Miller of Oshkosh, WI; great-grandchildren, Taylar Stieg of Oshkosh, WI; brother, Daniel (Lori) Pamenter of Ripon, WI and uncle, Robert Pamenter of Green Lake. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Pamenter; daughter, Sarah J. Poniewaz and brother, Eugene C. Pamenter.
Visitation for Dennis will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 4 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 4 5:00 pm at The Federated Church of Green Lake, 489 Scott St., Green Lake, WI 54941.
Funeral service for Dennis will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 5:00 pm at The Federated Church of Green Lake in Green Lake. Reverend Karen Gygax Rodriguez will officiate. The family would like to invite guests to stay and celebrate his life with a luncheon.
The family would also like to thank Theda Care Hospice for their care in the beginning and a special thanks to all the nurses and staff of Heartland Hospice for making his last days comfortable. A memorial is being established in his name.
