Dewilton Bud Ladwig, age 88, of Green, WI, passed away on November 29, 2014, at Markesan Resident Home, where he resided for the past 3 years.
Bud was born on May 19, 1926, in Princeton, the son of Max and Florence (Yerk) Ladwig.
After serving in the US Navy during WWII in the pacific, Bud married and had three children. Then in 1960 he met his life partner and on September 24, 1960, married Doloris (Poblitz) Ladwig. They shared the love of gardening and antiquing for many years. A lifelong resident of Green Lake, Bud worked as a painter for the American Baptist Assembly followed by his own painting contractor business. He was an avid remote control airplane enthusiast both building and flying them. Bud was also a member of the American Legion of Green Lake.
Bud is survived by his loving wife Doloris; daughters, Sharon (Fred) Moderow and Darcy Ladwig both of Ripon, WI; son, Gary (Jill) Ladwig of Markesan, WI. He is further survived by five grandchildren, David Moderow, Ron Moderow, Jeff Toll, Brandon Schrei, Justa Heldt and 9 great grandchildren. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Florence Ladwig; sisters, Deloris McLarn, Sally Woeckner and great grandson, Daniel Moderow.
Visitation for Bud Ladwig will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014, from 10 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviors United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
