Diane J. Burk, age 56, of Markesan, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI.
Diane was born on October 3, 1954, in Beaver Dam, WI, the daughter of Lloyd and Orva (Roeseler) Neumann. She graduated from Waupun High School in 1972. Diane received her Bachelors Degree from Silver Lake College in 1999 and graduated Summa Cum Laude in Accounting and Management. She was the Vice President and Secretary of Accounting and Human Resources at Wisconsin American Mutual Insurance in Fond du Lac, WI, for thirty eight years. In 1980, she married Patrick Rick Burk in the Town of Trenton. Diane was a member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Markesan and also sang in the church choir.
Survivors include one daughter, Kim Burk of Markesan, WI; one son, Adam Burk of Markesan, WI; parents, Lloyd and Orva Neumann of Beaver Dam, WI; three sisters, LuAnn (Don) Peirick of Watertown, WI, Debra (Kevin) Doble of Bloomington, MN and Barbara (Jim) Dykstra of Greenbush, WI; two brothers, David (Jill) Neumann of Plymouth, WI and Donald (Cindy) Neumann of Beaver Dam, WI; one sister-in-law, Marge Neumann of Beaver Dam, WI; father-in-law, Patrick Burk and many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts and uncles, other family members and friends. Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick who passed away on October 16, 2007; mother-in-law, Beatrice Burk, maternal grandparents, Lydia and Paul Roeseler and paternal grandparents, Charles and Melinda Neumann.
Visitation for Diane will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011, from 4 8:00 pm at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, 93 W. Catherine St. Markesan, WI 53946 and again on Saturday, February 5, 2011, from 10 11:00 am at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Markesan.
Funeral Service for Diane will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 11:00 am at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Markesan. Reverend Jason Jobs will officiate. Interment will follow at Green Lake Center Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake. A memorial is being established.
