Diane Louise Kohls, age 57, of Rosendale, lost her battle with cancer on Saturday, March 31, 2007.
She was born on June 3, 1949, in Oshkosh, the daughter of William and the late Doris Retzlaff. Diane graduated from Rosendale High School and on July 5, 1968 she married David Kohls. She was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale and was employed at Bremner/Rippin Foods for over 30 years. Diane enjoyed bowling, gardening, fishing, watching NASCAR with her husband and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her father, William Retzlaff & step-mother Violet Retzlaff, husband, David, daughter, Marie, son-in-law, Dennis Scannell, and grandchildren; Danielle Kemnitz, Cody & Zander Scannell. She is further survived by her sisters; Vicki (Don) Huth, Melody (Duane) Konen, Pam (Tim) Lesnick, and Angie (Russ) Robbins, mother-in-law, Doris Kohls, sister & brother-in-laws; Mary Portz, Jean (Bob) Bahn, Joan (Dick) Volkmann, Luanne (Lee) Potratz, Nancy (Bob) Fowler, Sue (Steve) Peachy, Kathy, (Keefe) Robinson, and many nieces and nephews and friends. Diane was preceded in death by her mother, son Christopher, and father-in-law George Kohls.
Visitation for Diane L. Kohls will be held on Thursday, April 5th, 2007 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale.
A Memorial Service for Diane L. Kohls will be held at 1:00 pm on April 5th, 2007 at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale with Reverend Charles R. Thompson officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Rosendale Cemetery, Village of Rosendale. A memorial has been established.
