Dolores A. Sina, age 84, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Juliette Manor in Berlin, WI.
Dolores was born on January 18, 1928, in Ripon, the daughter of Edward and Celia (Paul) Kehl. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1946 and married Heinie Sina in 1947. Dolores worked at Ripon Knitting Works until it closed and then worked as a nurse’s aide at Parkview Nursing Home. In 1972, she opened the first private licensed day care center in the area often taking care of over twenty children with the help of aides until it closed in 2000. Dolores liked to sing, dance, enjoyed bird watching, especially Cardinals, watching the Green Bay Packers and loved being around her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon and sang in the choir of St. Wenceslaus under Father Platta.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathleen Worden of Osprey, FL; two grandsons, Timothy Sina of Redgranite, WI and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Sina of Neshkoro, WI; one granddaughter, Tamara Worden of Oshkosh, WI; great-grandchildren, Melissa Sina of Milwaukee, WI, Justin Rank of Schaumburg, IL, Clayton Sina of Redgranite, WI and Autumn Sina of Neshkoro, WI; great-great-granddaughter, Sereniti Sina of Milwaukee, WI; one sister, Carol (David) Hoppa of Berlin, WI; step-son, Malcolm (Sharon) Port of St. Lucie, FL; step-daughter, Yolanda (Dave) Woloszyn of Ripon, WI; step-grandchildren, Alyssa (Reginald) Jean-Marie of Miami, FL and Jason Sina of Ripon, WI. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wayne (June) Kehl and James (Marge) Kehl; two sisters, Agnes (Carl) Kuehn and Barbara (Andre`) Rembert; father of her child, Heinie Sina; numerous aunts, uncles and close friends.
Visitation for Dolores Sina will be held Sunday, September 9, 2012, from 1 – 3:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Monday, September 10, 2012, from 9:30 – 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 E. Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Mass of Christian Burial for Dolores Sina will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012, at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 E. Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI 54971. Father Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established.
