Don Condon

Don B. Condon, age 80, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Monday, July 22, 1985, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.

Don was born April 8, 1905, in Northfield, Minnesota, the son of James and Victoria (PeloP Condon. He was educated in Minneapolis and married Lila Coakley on July 21, 1934. Don worked as the Founder and President of Condon Oil Company. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Director of Valley First National Bank, past President of Kiwanis, past president of Wisconsin Petroleum Association, past President of the Chamber of Commerce, past President of Community Chest, past President of Ripon Oil Men’s Club, Citizens’ Committee for Joint School District, past Executive Vice President of the Republican Foundation, a member of City Planning Commission, an Associate member Jr. Chamber of Commerce; a chairman of the Industry Division Chamber of Commerce, past President of Holy Name Society, a member of the Men’s Choir and Building Fund Chairman, District Chairman since 1954, the Catholic Charity Drive, a Board Member of Archdiocese Catholic Charities and was instrumental in the construction of St. Patrick Catholic School.

Survivors include one son, Jay of Green Lake, WI, one grandson, Patrick of Green Lake, WI and one granddaughter, Kelly of Green Lake, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife and one son.

Visitation for Don will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 1985, from 5 – 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial for Don will be held on Thursday, July 25, 1985, at 1:00 pm at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Reverend John Schmitz officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
