Donald D. Abel, age 71, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
He was born February 3, 1940, in Berlin, WI, the son of Herbert and Lillie (Prellwitz) Abel. Donald graduated from Ripon High School and was employed with Speed Queen as a forklift operator.
Survivors include his five sons, Larry (Elisabeth) Abel of CO, Douglas Abel of CO, Kevin (Heather) Abel of Waupun, WI, Robert (Joyce) Abel of Oshkosh, WI and Jeff Lindberg of Madison and eight grandchildren, Ashley, Brienna, Caleb, Shayla, Isabella, Jacob, Isaac and Hannah Abel. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Sarah Abel.
Visitation for Donald Abel will be held Friday, January 27, 2012, from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Donald Abel will be held Friday, January 27, 2012, at 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Mark R. West will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon with full Military Honors. A memorial is being established.
