Donald Belling

Donald Richard Belling, age 87, of the Town of Eldorado, WI, passed away on Tuesday morning, October 27, 2015, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah, WI.

Donald was born June 10, 1928, to Alfred and Rose (Hilt) Belling. On October 20, 1951, he married Alice Priepke. They farmed all their life in the Town of Eldorado until retirement. He was also a Mycogen seed dealer for many years. Donald was a member of the Lions Club with a 100% attendance for the past 30 years. In 2002, he received the Birch-Sturm Fellowship Award. Donald was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale and a former member of the church choir and church council. He also volunteered as a member of the Eldorado fire department, participated in several Dartball leagues, enjoyed woodworking, gardening and casino trips.

Survivors include one daughter, Joyce (Glenn) Becker of Rosendale; one son, Roger (Lynne) Belling of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Renee (Eric) Van Nocker, Faren (Paul) Schmuhl, Elyse Becker, Adam (Brittany) Belling and Jared (Jessie) Belling; four great-grandchildren, Piper Louise Van Nocker, Gracie Maria Van Nocker, Aliceana Priscilla Belling and Brycen Donald James Schmuhl; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Simon and Josie Priepke; one goddaughter, Shirley Hinz and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Visitation for Donald will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015, from 1 – 3:00 pm at Peace Lutheran Church, 124 South Main St., Rosendale, WI 54974.

Funeral Service for Donald will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015, at 3:00 pm at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale. Reverend Charles R. Thompson will officiate. A private interment will follow at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale. A memorial is being established in his name.
