Donald E. Heidel, age 71, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on October 8, 1985, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
Donald was born September 1, 1914, in Brandon, WI, the son of Herman and Bertha (Henker) Heidel. He served our country in the United States Army in the Infantry 32nd Division during WWII. On February 25, 1945, Donald married Ella Deibert in Green Lake. He worked as a carpenter for Arnold and Wilton Alvin, Al Klaver and George Ceman. Donald was a past VFW member and a member of the American Legion Willis-Chapel Post #306 of Green Lake, AARP member and a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Green Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Ella; three sons, Wayne of Omro, WI, David of Green Lake, WI and Bruce of Fond du Lac, WI; four grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert of Carefree, AZ and Paul of Oshkosh, WI and one sister, Charlotte Rice of Marco Island, FL. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Visitation for Donald will be held on Thursday, October 10, 1985, from 4 8:00 pm with an American Legion Service at 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.
Funeral Service for Donald will be held on Friday, October 11, 1985, at 1:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Rodney Dietsche officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. A memorial has been established.
