Donald Edward Krueger, age 85, of Ripon, WI, passed away on April 10, 2018, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, WI.
Donald was born in Ripon on August 26, 1932, the son of Alfred and Lillian (Leet) Krueger. He served our county in Korea with the U.S. Army. In 1954, Donald married Norma Rainwater in Aiken, SC. He worked on the production line at Green Giant in Ripon, and also at one time managed the Ripon Co-Op, worked at Speed Queen, and maintenance at Heritage Wafer. Donald was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed almost anything if it was outdoors. He also liked to dance.
Donald is survived by his wife of 65 years, Norma Krueger of Ripon, WI; his daughter, Carol (Denny) Brooks of Green Lake, WI; two sons, Steven (Janet Simmons) Krueger of Ripon, WI, and Michael (Gracie) Krueger of Eldon, MO; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; a sister, Darlene Hawks of Oshkosh, WI; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lillian Krueger; four brothers, Kenneth, David, Alfred, and Marshall Krueger; three sisters, Dorothy Krueger, Barbara Krueger, and JoAnn Kemnitz.
A visitation for Donald will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI, 54971. There will be no funeral service. Inurnment will follow the visitation at Woodlawn Cemetery, with special friend Bob Ferber officiating the committal service. Full military honors will follow the committal.
