Donald E. Long, age 56, of Markesan, WI, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013, Ripon Medical Center in Ripon.
Donald was born on June 15, 1956, in Berlin, WI, the son of Edward Elmer and Marion Agnes (Van Doren) Long. He worked at Alliance Laundry Systems as a fork lift driver for 30 years. Donald was an avid hunter and enjoyed trap shooting.
Survivors include his special friend, Kathleen Warren of Markesan, WI; two daughters, Josie (Tom) Jurvelin of Markesan, WI and Michelle Pluim of Waupun, WI; five grandchildren, Morgan, Emily and Olivia Jurvelin all of Markesan, WI and Kylie and Colton Pluim of Waupun, WI; two aunts, Beverly Henslin of Ripon, WI and Irene Van Doren of Alto, WI; uncle, Kenny (Sharon) Long of Markesan, WI and his cousin, Jim Van Doren of Alto, WI. Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Donald will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, from 2 – 5:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Per Donald’s wishes there will be no funeral service.
Interment will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at 10:00 am at Mackford Union Prairie Cemetery in the Town of Mackford. A memorial is being established in his name.
