Donald Carl Nest, age 79, of Rosendale, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon, WI.
Donald was born on August 8, 1930, in the Town of Springvale, WI, the son of Carl and Viola (Born) Nest. He graduated from Rosendale High School and on May 14, 1955, Donald married Catherine Schneider in Green Lake. Donald served in the Army from 1952 to 1954. He worked as a farmer all his life. Donald was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in the Town of Springvale.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Catherine of Rosendale, WI; one sister, Marjorie of Ripon, WI; sisters-in-law, Irene (Gene) Miller of Ripon, WI, Lil (Tom) Putzer of Ripon, WI, Mary Jane Salm of Menesha, WI, and Barb Mickelson of Neenah, WI; brothers-in-law, Ferd (Karen) Schneider of Neenah, WI, Vern (Joan) Schneider of Texas, George (Pat) Schneider of Neenah, WI, and Robert Nett of Fond du Lac, WI; and many nieces and nephews. Donald is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Pamela.
A private Memorial Mass will be held per Donald’s wishes.
